Using this website and Emma

This website describes Emma and its limited daily companion pilot. Features and eligibility may change during the pilot. Asking about the pilot does not enroll you in SMS or guarantee access.

Emma can make mistakes. She is not a therapist, medical professional, or emergency service. Do not rely on Emma or text messages for urgent support. Contact a person or local emergency services when immediate help is needed.

The Emma app Terms & Conditions govern app use, accounts, and purchases. These SMS Terms govern the separate, optional Emma Daily Practice Texts program.

Emma Daily Practice Texts

Program operator: Glad Lab LLC, doing business as Big Self School. Messages identify Emma by Big Self School.

Message types: morning invitations to your daily practice, optional later follow-ups, and verification or test messages you request. Invitations link to Emma; coaching conversations take place in the app.

Program status: the program is being prepared for a limited pilot. Invited members can verify a number and request a test. Recurring morning and follow-up invitations are not currently active.

Frequency: up to two daily practice invitations per day, plus requested verification and test messages. Frequency varies with your settings and activity. Message and data rates may apply. Ask your mobile carrier about your plan.

Consent: provide a number you control, select the separate unchecked SMS consent box in Today with Emma, and verify the code sent to that number. Consent is optional and not a condition of purchase. Website visits, account creation, and email inquiries do not subscribe you.

Opt out: reply STOP to stop program messages. You can also select Turn off texts in Emma. An SMS opt-out may produce a single confirmation message. A message already accepted for delivery may still arrive. To join again, complete the app’s consent and verification; a prior carrier STOP block may also require replying START.

Help: reply HELP for messaging assistance or email shelley@bigselfschool.com. SMS is not a monitored channel for coaching or emergencies.

Delivery: messages depend on mobile networks and are not guaranteed. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

Your number: tell us or turn off texts if your number changes or you stop controlling it. Do not enroll a number that belongs to someone else.

Privacy: mobile information and SMS opt-in consent are not sold or shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Providers may process information only as needed to operate the service. Read the Privacy Policy.
