How Emma works
Emma starts by finding your Enneagram subtype. Then she stays with you, day to day, while you practice what you learned. Here is the whole thing, start to finish.
Part one · about an hour
Find your subtype
The typing package takes you through four steps. Most people finish in an hour or two, at their own pace.
The adaptive questionnaire
Each answer decides the next question, and it stops once it has enough to go on, usually well under twenty questions. It reads for your subtype, not only your type.
A few questions about your life
What is pulling at you right now, what you want to understand about yourself, and when you feel most like yourself. Emma carries your answers into the conversation.
A conversation with Emma
Up to about 30 minutes, by voice or by typing. Emma arrives already holding what the questionnaire found, and she listens for motivation, the thing a questionnaire cannot see. She may confirm the questionnaire's read, or argue with it.
Your Book of You and Growth Path
Around thirty pages, written from what you said: your subtype, what your pattern protects, how others experience you, what it costs you, and what to practice. Keep the PDF, and a plain-text copy to give your own AI.
Part two · every day after
Practice it in real life
Your first month of Emma is included. This is where self-knowledge turns into something you do.
The daily check-in
Emma opens your day with one question, drawn from what she knows about you and what you are working on. It takes a minute. It catches your pattern while it is still running.
- Check in once, or three times. There is no right amount.
- No streaks and no scores, ever
- If you have been away, she picks up where you left off
Morning. On Friday you said you wanted to ask for help before the week got away from you. How did that go?
I didn't. I said yes to two more things instead.
That's the pattern you named, showing up right on time. What did saying yes protect you from?

One experiment a week
Every Monday, Emma suggests one small, concrete thing to try, matched to where you are in your growth. Skipping one is fine. A skipped week tells her something too.
Conversations, whenever you want one
Talk through a hard meeting, a fight with your partner, a decision you keep circling. Emma starts from what she already knows about you, so you never have to explain yourself from scratch.

Emma's notes and your monthly read
Now and then, Emma shares a short note about something she is wondering, offered as a question to consider. Once a month, when there is enough to say, she writes a read on what has changed.
- Tell her when a note lands, or when it misses
- Take any note into a conversation
- Your Growth page shows how far you have come
What Emma noticed
You caught yourself earlier this month than last. Twice you named the pattern before it finished running.
Based on your check-ins and conversations from the last 90 days. You can tell Emma if this misses.

How Emma thinks
Built on how good coaching works
Motivation, not behavior. Anyone can do anything. Your type is about why. Emma listens for the why.
She tells you what she sees. You get a real view from her, not a stream of questions. What you do with it is up to you.
Three stages. First you learn to notice your pattern. Then you get curious about what it protects. Then you practice something new. Emma meets you at whichever stage you are in.
She sends you back to your life. Emma measures success by the conversations you have with real people, not the time you spend with her.

Your circle
Invite people close to you, see each other's type, and answer a shared question about how you relate. Each of you sees the other's answer only after both have written.
Your calendar, if you want
Connect it and Emma can see the shape of your week when she helps you plan. She cannot change it, and it stays off until you turn it on.
Some features are rolling out gradually during the beta, and what you see may differ slightly. Emma will always tell you if something is not available yet.

The typing package is $49, once. It includes a month of Emma, so you can start practicing what you learn the same day.
