Emma’s optional text program helps you return to your daily practice. Your coaching conversation happens in Emma—not in an SMS thread.
Limited pilot. Invited members can verify their number and request a test text. Recurring morning and follow-up invitations are being prepared and are not active yet.
What you’re signing up for
The program is Emma Daily Practice Texts, operated by Glad Lab LLC, doing business as Big Self School. Messages are informational invitations to your own practice, not third-party advertising.
- A morning invitation to open Emma.
- An optional later check-in after you have chosen an action. Reflecting on that action removes the planned follow-up.
- Verification codes and test messages you request.
Up to two daily practice invitations per day, plus requested verification and test messages. Frequency varies with your settings. Message and data rates may apply. SMS is optional and is not a condition of purchase.
How to opt in
- Sign in to your invited Emma account and open Today with Emma.
- Begin your daily practice, then find Connect your texts.
- Enter a mobile number you control. The SMS consent checkbox starts unchecked. Read the disclosure and linked policies, then check it if you want texts.
- Select Text me a verification code and enter the six-digit code sent to your phone.
- After verification, you can select Send me a test text. Verification does not send that test automatically.
You can continue using Emma without opting into SMS. Simply visiting this website, signing in, or entering an email does not enroll you.

This is a read-only reproduction of the phone and consent portion of the pilot’s in-app screen. It does not collect your number or enroll you.

The screen uses the word “preview” because this feature remains a restricted pilot within the production app. Automatic recurring texts remain off. Invitations do not include your private reflections, Enneagram details, or action text.
Stop, get help, or change your mind
Reply STOP to unsubscribe. You can also use Turn off texts in Today with Emma. You may receive a single confirmation of an SMS opt-out; no further program messages will be sent unless you opt in again.
Reply HELP for messaging help, or email shelley@bigselfschool.com. For a coaching conversation, open Emma. SMS replies are not a monitored channel for coaching or urgent help.
If you previously replied STOP, you may need to reply START to remove the carrier’s block before requesting another verification code. START alone does not enroll you in the companion program; complete the in-app consent and verification again.
Mobile information stays out of marketing
We do not sell, rent, or share mobile numbers or SMS opt-in information with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. SMS consent is used only to operate this program. Providers such as Twilio process the information needed to deliver and support the messages on our behalf.
